Dont look like a *real* racoon.

Trimming your eyebrows:
You may want to make your brows look neater.

Thats why you need a tweezer. If you have a very low pain threshold it may be better to go shave the wayward brow hair off your brows, but it may leave stubble and you may accidentally shave the hair that isnt supposed to be shaved. To reduce pain during tweezing, pluck the hairs when you are out of a hot shower.
If you are unsure which hair to pluck off, you can color the hair with white eyeliner to see how your brows look like without it. But if you are still very unsure, you can go to a salon or cosmetics store in those departmentals to see if they can do the eyebrow triming for you. You have to PAY, of course, but it won't be very expensive.

Getting rid of the brow?
Possible, but you may have to put on eyebrow makeup most of the time to prevent from looking like Mona Lisa, the famous woman in a frame, who also had her brows shaved which was fashionable in her time. I saw many goths who did this, and they looked very spectacular especially when the color of the painted brow is a striking color like red or blue to match their hair. That is the pay-off, but risk having your S.O finding out how you look like without brows when you are in bed. Switch off the lights then!

Stencils
There are eyebrow stencils available, like Eyebrowz, to help with your ideal eyebrow shape.

Coloring your brows
If your brows aren't thick, try a grey eyebrow liner.
If yours are thick, try dark brown or black.

Eyeshadow
Applying eyeshadow may seem easy, but can be rather tricky to put on without making a mess out of the powder, especially if you have shaky hands.

Eyeshadows can make good eyeliners. Use a wet, thin brush (found in liquid eyeliner bottles) and dip it into the eyeshadow pot.
I've heard of one way to make a fantastic liquid eyeliner, and that is to mix one drop of glycerine with some eyeshadow powder. I haven't tried it yet, but the submitter says it's good. Maybe it does make wonderful eyeliner....

Eyeliner
Yes, it's everyone's favorite part.
No one can ever get hold of enough eyeliner. If you are having a cheap, lousy pencil liner, under sweat it'll look very smudged and unappealing. So take a walk down to Maybelline's or Bodyshop to find good, long-lasting eyeliner. Liquid liner definitely stays on longer than normal pencils, or kohls, but it's sometimes rather difficult to put them on without accidentally smearing some other area of your eye, such as the eyeball. I use liquid liner over kohl for my eyes. It stays on better that way. Try not to sneeze or yawn! This may make you tear and smudge your eye makeup. Carry around some tissue to carefully dab away the tears in your eye before it reaches the lashes and make your makeup run. That always happen to people who don't have much things to do at that time, like travelling in a train or waiting for someone.

Is it true you should never line your inner lids?
Well, actually I have always done that, and it haven't clogged up my tear ducts or something like that. Your inner lids are just behind the lashes, and be very careful when you line them. Apply your liner, liquid or kohl, at different angles. Hold the pencil/handle tightly and steadily and try not to shake. There is one sort of eyeliner which has a smudger on the other end, which you can use the smudger to neaten the liner and remove uneveness made by pencil kohls.

Creativity
Be creative in eyeliner designs. There is a page called 'When Gothic Eyes Are Moping' in my links and you can check out the designs used in the pictures. Some are silly, but some are really cool. Sharpen your eyeliner pencil so that it won't look blunt and untidy over your skin when you are doing some sort of drawing, but the best to use is liquid. It looks neater and more professional, and if you don't know how to use one, for Christ's sake learn how to cos it makes you look better than kohls do. Practice at home when you have nothing to do ......

Other than Black?
Explore different colors besides black! Usually for me I use red eyeliner below black liner, and blend the red down with my fingers so it gives a sort of freaky, tired, worn-out look. Use this to scare your parents.
